A Place of Honor
The Mausoleum complex is a sacred place, interweaving nature, memory, and spirituality. Nestled within the splendor and tranquility of the Texas Hill Country, offers unique interment opportunities for individuals or entire families.
Whatever your faith, background or need, here you’ll find peace, understanding, and solitude. We are here to help you find a special way to honor and remember a loved one. Wall niches, garden wall and garden crypts are all available after the completion in the Fall of 2025.
The Association is dedicated to serving families in the best possible manner with dignity, compassion and understanding.
History
“When residents expressed the desire for a cemetery in HSB, Eileen and Wayne Hurd responded and donated land for a Mausoleum to be constructed and another donor arranged a long-term, low interest loan for construction funds. In 1989, all HSB property owners were offered an opportunity to purchase crypts or niches. Seventy-two crypts and forty-eight niches were constructed during 1990. The Mausoleum is located in the Eileen Hurd Nature Preserve along the south side of Horseshoe Creek. This property has been deeded to the HSB POA as a nature park to be preserved in its natural state for the benefit of HSB property owners. The Mausoleum was deeded to the HSB Memorial Association, Inc. with necessary easements and paths, and is overseen by the HSB POA. In 2003, an east [sic] addition to the Mausoleum was constructed housing eighty niches. In 2016, sixty-four niches were added. Crypts and niches have all been sold; however, several areas are designated for eventual additions to the Mausoleum.”
